CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Athletic Stretch
You do not need to be an athlete to stretch in this class but it is structured for the person who works out regularly but doesn't stretch as much as they should! We will use bands, balls, walls, and barres to assist is different forms of stretching as well as some modified yoga moves to lengthen muscles around the joints safely. We will be working as a team to help you build your own repertoire of stretches that you can do regularly on your own or add to your routine. Bring your sense of humor because this will be fun!
BARRE workout:
A graceful form of strength training using the ballet barre, incorporating pilates, dance and a wee bit of yoga together to change your body shape and movement style. This is a class you will talk about!
Bellyfit:
A fun, fresh combination of moves inspired by Bellydance, African, Bollywood, plus an intelligent fusion of yoga, pilates and mediation to a funky world beat. http://www.bellyfit.ca/
Bellyfit Yin:
Designed to give women a deep, full-body restorative release; the class starts with flowing yoga and dance-inspired moves then transitions to beautiful, deep stretches with relevant meditations, inspiring quotes, and mindful mudras. Expect to be nutured and revitalized. No previous experience needed.
Fitness Flow
A collection of continuous lengthening exercises that flow into each other to strengthen and balance the body. Music and movement are co-ordinated to give you a workout that you can make as challenging as you want to make it.
Intermediate Pilates:
Challenge your mind & body with a series of exercise designed to come from the core. Reformer-like exercises are created to change your shape. People will notice you look different!
Ladies Night:
An evening where women can get together and dance focusing on the feminine form. A great workout that has a different theme each month. Come dressed up as much as you dare! Or just wear something that makes you feel comfortable. Join our fabulous women and learn some fun moves that you can use anytime. Dates announced in Class Posts above.
Pilates:
A good class to cover basic principles which stresses proper alignment and movement to isolate the muscles and restore a balance to the body. Come discover what your core really is.
Video Workouts:
A new idea for the community where you come and workout with a supportive group of like-minded women to a a different video each week played on a large screen. An instructor is present in class. More info soon.
